The challenge

Free2Learn is a UK training provider of funded courses that help jobseekers secure jobs and build careers — in areas such as health and social care, security (SIA), warehousing, office administration and contact centre work. It runs online and in-person classes across many locations, including London, Milton Keynes, Chelmsford, Birmingham, Doncaster, Billericay, Hertford, Harlow and Slough.

That model creates two problems at once. First, a steady flow of learners has to be found across many towns and many course types, in a market where people decide quickly and mostly on their phones. Second, every learner who signs up has to be enrolled — and enrolment on paper means printed forms, signatures, chasing missing details and re-typing data, multiplied by every class in every location.

Free2Learn needed marketing that could reach jobseekers at scale and an onboarding process that could keep up with it.

What we did

Free2Learn received our full pack — the same programme we run for the British Academy of Jewellery — plus a bespoke digital onboarding build.

Website for a funded training provider

We designed and built the website around the courses and the places they run, so a jobseeker can find a relevant funded course near them, or online, and register interest in a few steps.

SEO

We optimised course and location pages for the searches jobseekers make — by course type and by town — and kept the site in good technical health over time.

AI-assisted digital and social media marketing

We ran a large marketing activity across digital and social media channels — including Facebook, where Free2Learn has a community of around 6.7K followers. AI was built into the way we worked, to improve ad performance:

  • AI-assisted creative and copy, so more variations could be tested for each course and audience
  • AI-supported targeting and optimisation, shifting effort towards what was working
  • campaigns organised by course and location, each pointing at the page where a learner can sign up

Digital learner onboarding with Adobe forms and DocuSign

This was the part that changed how Free2Learn operates day to day. We developed an automated onboarding flow that replaced paper enrolment:

  • online enrolment forms built with Adobe forms, completed by the learner on any device
  • e-signature through DocuSign, instead of printing, signing and scanning
  • an automated flow that moves each learner from sign-up to signed paperwork without manual hand-offs

Analytics and growth

We set up analytics across the website and campaigns and ran the work as an ongoing growth programme, reviewing results and adjusting campaigns, content and onboarding as we went.

The results

  • Learner onboarding is digital and automated — online forms and e-signatures replaced paper
  • Marketing runs at scale across many courses and locations, with AI incorporated to improve ad performance
  • One connected journey: an ad leads to a course page, the course page to sign-up, and sign-up to signed enrolment
  • Website, SEO, marketing and analytics work together as one continuous programme

For a training provider, that means less time on paperwork and more time teaching the people who enrol.
